IT Manager/Website Maintenance

The Information Technology Manager/Systems Administrator is responsible for troubleshooting, installing and maintaining computer
hardware, software and networks; updating and maintaining company website; and assisting with the creation of marketing materials. 

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, graphic design, marketing or related field
  • 3+ years experience in Information Technology planning, development, and support
  • Experience with website maintenance
  • Excellent working knowledge of standard office business tools
  • Must possess strong working knowledge of: Hardware server systems - Software skills to include: MS Access, MS Windows Server 2003 (IIS 6.0), and .NET - Framework 3.5 SP1 with primary development language =C# with embedded Flash menus, JavaScript, AJAX, DHTML - Operating systems for web and database servers (MS Windows Server 2003) - Database knowledge of MS Access and MS SQL Server 2005 (note: MS SQL Server 2000 or 2008 are acceptable substitutes) Demonstrated ability to make relevant recommendations to management for planning and budgeting consideration
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with capability to utilize these to build strong business relationships with employees at all levels
  • Strong presentations skills and experience presenting to large groups
  • Change management experience, including ability to operate constructively in a changing environment, deal effectively with conflict, multiple priorities and new assignments and able to multi-task
  • Must possess analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as ability to prioritize and handle multiple priorities
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Government security clearance 
  • Experience designing and creating marketing materials
  • Support day-to-day operations to include troubleshooting of computers, desktops, applications, phones and other related issues.
  • Manage IT and computer systems, updates, monitoring & maintenance
  • Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the operations of information systems and electronic data processing (EDP)
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures for electronic data processing and computer systems operations and development
  • Maintain and monitor inventory of computer/phone equipment and supplies
  • Apply patches, maintain Sophos firewalls, switches, routers and Wi-Fi Access points
  • Meet with managers to discuss system requirements, specifications, costs and timelines
  • Provide recommendations toward new hardware and software equipment
  • Control the computer systems budgets and expenditures
  • Ensure technology is accessible and equipped with current hardware and software. Install software releases, firmware upgrades and daily back-up operations
  • Troubleshoot all technology issues and perform standard preventative maintenance & diagnostic analysis
  • Research current and potential resources and services
  • Monitor security of all technology and advise staff of security breach and/or change in password or security status
  • Identify and prepare hardware for disposal when appropriate and ensure hardware is stripped and secured before disposal
  • Update and maintain website 
  • Design and create marketing materials to include power point presentations, fliers, materials for trade shows, etc
  • Other duties and assignments as required

  • Work is performed in an office setting
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, demonstrate manual dexterity, climb stairs
  • May occasionally be required to lift moderately heavy objects (up to 25 pounds), and stand for long periods of time during the course of the workday
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English
