Business Development Manager (DoD)

The Business Development Manager will be responsible to identify, qualify and develop customer requirements for providing the development, acquisition and life cycle support of integrated Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) systems and Force Protection customer base.    
  • Qualified Candidates must possess current network of relationships with relevant Force Protection, Intel, C4ISR and DoD programs and program managers.
Primary Roles and Responsibilities will include:
  • Responsible for the identification, evaluation, cultivation and capture of new business in federal government and commercial industries
  • Maintains awareness of emerging requirements relevant to ATSC
  • Seeks out, evaluates and interprets RFIs, RFPs, RFQs, etc. to determine customer requirements and to develop winning strategies
  • Develops detailed proposals in response to RFPs, etc. and for unsolicited opportunities
  • Maintains status of Business Development opportunities and forecasts
  • Performs other assignments (or duties) as required
  • Primarily responsible for identifying new business development opportunities in the DOD market.
  • Researches customers, competitors, solutions, specific opportunities, teaming partners and potential key personnel to capture Government Contracts.
  • Anticipates potential Business Development risks and develops avoidance and mitigation strategies.
  • Documents all capture information and reports status of opportunities throughout the Business Development lifecycle.
  • Applies knowledge of federal procurement regulations and knowledge of the proposal development process.   Applies understanding of Requests for Proposal and Requests for Information. 
  • Responds to RFI or Sources Sought Information requests as appropriate, coordinating the required resources needed for a response and ensuring the right “message” is conveyed for the RFI response, and in consideration of the identified win strategy.
  • Able to analyze the quality of all work performed and analyze the completed proposal and marketing in the Federal and Commercial market. 
  • Demonstrates a commitment to working with customers, both external and internal.  Works with customers to get information, assess needs, and resolve issues and concerns, and consistently acts with the customer in mind.

  • Monitors progress and evaluates outcomes
 Qualifications:
  • Minimum 10 years of directly related experience in DoD
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, engineering, management
  • Knowledge and experience selling products and services to federal/DoD clients
  • Knowledge of the federal/DoD government acquisition processes
  • Ability to coordinate and develop detailed proposal documents in response to RFPs
  • Ability to communicate effectively across a wide spectrum of people with varying degrees of experience and knowledge
  • Ability to generate effective oral and written presentations
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Ability to quickly assimilate and deal with a variety of abstract ideas
