Summary                                                                                                                                                              
The Business Development Manager will act as liaison between the Chief Operating Officer and our customers. The Business Development Manger will identify, qualify and secure business opportunities by cultivating and maintaining mutually beneficial business relationships with current and potential customers. The Business Development Manger will work closely with corporate executives and senior managers. The Business Development Manager will leverage executive-level relationships to develop targeted sales strategies that convey a customized approach to all business pursuits.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field required
  • 7 – 10 years of hands-on Business Development Management Experience, preferably worked with US Government/DOD
  • 10+ years of Military experience preferred
  • Experience within the DOD program required
  • Proficiency within Microsoft Office Suite, specifically PowerPoint
  • Self-motivated individual who can work independently or as a team
  • Confidentiality and company loyalty are a must
  • Able to interface with VIP’s, personnel, international executives, and others
  • Able to multi-task and to accept and adapt to change quickly
  • Detail oriented with strong follow through and organizational skills
  • Good writing, technical, analytical and problem solving skills
  • 75% travel CONUS and OCOUS
  • Must be willing to travel on short notice
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Government Security Clearance, Top Secret Clearance preferred
 
Responsibilities
  • Customer Interface with US Navy, NAVAIR and other Government agencies as required
  • Customer interface with non-Government, foreign military and commercial organizations
  • Liaison with current contract Contracting Officers; assist with communication flow, resolve issues, identify needs and translate Government goals
  • Identify and qualify new and emerging opportunities
  • Effectively conveys our message in both written and verbal business development discussions
  • Hold regular status meetings with COO
  • Establish and maintain effective customer relationships; current and future
  • Effectively communicates relevant project information to COO
  • Deliver engaging, informative, well-organized presentations
  • Provide meaningful input for planning budgets
  • Resolve and/or escalate issues in a timely fashion
  • Communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully
  • Actively researching for potential clients
  • Pursue and maintain new business relationships
  • Understanding and obtaining the needs of the clients
  • Preparing various presentations and regularly attend client meetings, trade shows, conferences, etc.
  • Follow up with clients continuously and respond to client enquiries
  • Prepare business development strategies according to the needs of the client
  • Secure business opportunities by cultivating mutually beneficial business relationship with current and potential clients
