Summary                                                                                                                             
The Facility Security Officer (FSO) will interpret, disseminate, and implement all Collateral, SCI, and SAP Corporate Security Requirements.  The Facility Security Officer will manage security related items pertaining (but not limited) to:  Personnel, Physical, Procedural, OPSEC, Education, TEMPEST, COMSEC, AIS, etc.  The FSO will develop, maintain, and monitor security standard practice and procedures.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree required, Masters preferred
  • 6+ years hands-on experience in security industry preferred
  • Previous FSO training from DSS 
  • Working knowledge of the NISPOM (DoD 5220.00-M)
  • Experience in implementing NISPOM
  • Thorough working knowledge and hands-on experience with JPAS and eQIP
  • Experience with interpreting and implementing ICD’s (DCIDs) and SAP appropriate documentation
  • Experience with SAP program
  • Possess the interpersonal skills necessary to deal courteously and effectively with a diverse group of individuals
  • Knowledge of Intrusion Detection Systems
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Exhibit excellent time management skills
  • Exhibit organizational skills
  • ISP Certification is a plus
  • Change management experience, including ability to operate constructively in a changing environment, deal effectively with conflict, multiple priorities and new assignments and able to multi-task
  • Strong presentation skills and experience in presenting to large groups
  • Must possess analytical and problem-solving skills, with capability to prioritize and handle multiple priorities
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain government security clearance to the level of the facility
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
 
Responsibilities
  • Required to be On-Call: 24hrs per day/7 days per week
  • Maintain compliance with all aspects of the National Industrial Security Program
  • Interpret and apply all security requirements as dictated by DD254’s
  • Implementation and notification of program security requirements to Management and Staff
  • Responsible for personnel security clearance processing, indoctrination, and ongoing security education Conduct self inspections and review core security processes for compliance
  • Manage physical security of facilities and be primary point of contact for alarm notifications and systems
  • Document foreign travel of company personnel and provide defensive briefings prior to travel as required
  • Establish and oversee visitor control program including processing incoming/outgoing visit requests and classified meeting coordination/oversight
  • Document and report adverse information, change in personnel status, as well as other reporting requirements through appropriate channels
  • Obtain and maintain:
    • FSO certification
    • COMSEC custodian certification
  • To make random check of logs of entry and exit of personnel and materials and verify their correctness
  • Work with Human Resources for new hires, separations, etc.
  • Other duties as required

  • May occasionally be required to lift moderately heavy objects (up to 25 pounds) during the course of the workday
